Electronics Tester

Fairbanks Scales, a leader in the industrial weighing industry since 1830, is looking for an Electronics Tester for their electronics manufacturing plant in Saint Johnsbury, VT. This Electronics Tester will perform routine tests to determine defective PC assemblies, PROMS, and electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies.  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform operational tests on PC assemblies, PROMS, and electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies.  
  • Troubleshoot electronics to find the root cause of the fault. 
  • Complete appropriate documentation and reporting.
  • Use microscopes, schematics, and multi-meters to detect and repair etch shorts between nodes on a printed circuit board. 
  • Program and verify PROMS.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years of experience with electronics
  • Thorough ability to use a multi-meter
  • Computer literacy
  • This position must successful obtain Canadian certification. This includes a math test, course exam, and field exam. It also requires overnight travel to Canada in 3-4 trips but is a one-time training requirement.
