Fairbanks' Guardian Service Protection Program takes the unknown out of your weighing equipment maintenance costs. It's a full-service program that covers all your repairs at a fixed price, so you don't have to worry about unexpected maintenance expenses. You can rest assured that if a weighing emergency does arise, you'll be treated with prompt response and timely repair at no additional out-of-pocket expenses for any repair, parts, service, travel, or other items covered in your Guardian Service agreement.

Improperly maintained weight equipment, resulting in decreases in accuracy, can produce customer shortages, potential highway fines or product giveaways. With the flexibility of Guardian Service, you can tailor a maintenance program to best meet your unique service requirements while reducing costly downtime.

Typical Guardian Service Checks

During each pre-scheduled maintenance visit, your Fairbanks Service Technician will perform the following services	Truck Scales	Floor Scales	Tank & Hopper Scales	Bench & Portable Scales

After inspection and adjustment as needed, the scale is checked and calibrated with known test weights and adjusted to conform to performance requirements and tolerances in accordance to N.I.S.T. Handbook 44	X	X	X	X

Check indicator and printer for proper operation, print clarity, conformance to Weights and Measures scale codes	X	X	X	X

Clean indicator and printer	X	X	X	X
Confirm that all required identification markings for platform and indicator are in place and legible	X	X	X	X

Seal scale and those components which must be secured from unauthorized adjustments	X	X	X	X

If applicable, remove manhole covers and check: pit condition; moving parts, wear on suspension; pivots and bearings; steel condition; condition and adjustment of bumper bolts	X

Remove platform for examination and cleaning every six months, or when needed depending on usage and environment		X

Inspect the lever system for: proper setting of the checking system; dirt, rust, plumb and level condition; condition and lubrication of pivots and bearings; possible deterioration of the mounting brackets			X

Inspect the load receiver for worn or missing parts and proper adjustment of checking overload stops				X
