SYMPTOM/PROBLEM	TYPICAL CAUSE	POSSIBLE SOLUTION
No output signal from load cell	Load Cell Cable Damaged	Check for broken or cut load cell cable.
		Check for physical damage to load cell.
		Check housing of load cell for loose or missing weigh element covers.
	Instrument not working Properly	Check power supply. Check if instrument is turned on. Review Instrumentation FAQ
	Bad Cable Connections	Check connections at balance box and or at instrument.
High output signal load cell	Load Cell Cable Damaged	Check for broken or cut load cell fro cable.
		Check for physical damage to load cell.
		Check housing of load cell for loose or missing weigh element covers.
	Improper loading	Check for equal load on all load cells
Low output signal load cell	Load Cell Cable Damaged	Check for broken or cut load cell fro cable.
		Check for physical damage to load cell.
		Check housing of load cell for loose or missing weigh element covers.
	Improper loading	Check for equal load on all load cells
Erratic weights	Bind	Check for platform bind.
		Check load cell installation for plumb, square, and level.
		Check load cell suspension points for free movement.
	Load Cell Cable Damaged	Check for broken or cut load cell cable.

		Check all mounting brackets and hardware for proper torque.

Tank / Vessel rocks from side to side	Improper loading	Check for equal load on all load cell assemblies.
	Broken or damaged mounting hardware	Checking all mounting hardware for proper torque.
		Check all mounting hardware for physical damage.
