SYMPTOM/PROBLEM TYPICAL CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
No indicator lights. No print. No power. Check to ensure power cord is plugged into the outlet.
Check circuit breaker.
No print Interface cable Check cable for damage.
Check to ensure cable is connected at the indicator and printer.
Printer fault Perform printer self test. Call for service.
SEL or ONLINE off Press the SEL or ONLINE button to enable.
Prints partial characters Ribbon Ribbon is defective or threaded incorrectly.
Printer head damaged Call for service.
Alarm light illuminated Paper jammed Clear paper jam.
Out of paper Load paper.
Low on paper Paper sensor is not being depressed. Load paper.
Printer fault Call for service.
Prints garbled characters Printer fault Call for service.
Baud rate Check baud rate setting on switches or internal program printout.
Check baud settings on the indicator.
Emulation wrong Check emulation setting on switches or internal program printout.
